Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, on Tuesday questioned the Centre’s decision to agree to a ceasefire, expressing discontent over what he described as a premature halt to military operations.
Speaking to reporters, Yadav said, “We would have been really happy, and we had hopes from our security forces, to get back PoK, but I don’t know why the Prime Minister agreed on a ceasefire. The ceasefire occurred after a single tweet from the US President.” He added that the development had “shattered” the expectations many had from the Prime Minister.
