Patna, Bihar | Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, calling it a monumental loss for the nation. In his tribute, Yadav lauded Singh’s honesty, leadership, and significant contributions to India’s development.

"We express our condolences to his family on his death. His departure has caused a great loss to the country. An honest and great leader like him comes to this earth very rarely," Yadav stated.

Highlighting Dr Singh’s tenure as Prime Minister, Yadav recalled the numerous welfare schemes initiated under his leadership, which left a lasting impact on millions of Indians. While he did not specify the schemes, Dr Singh is widely credited with transformative programs like the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA), Right to Education, and Food Security initiatives.

"Today we are all in mourning, and we stand with his family in this moment," Yadav added, expressing solidarity with the grieving family and urging the nation to honor Singh’s legacy.

Dr Manmohan Singh, who served as India’s Prime Minister for two consecutive terms, was known for his economic reforms and inclusive governance. Leaders from across the political spectrum have paid homage to him, underscoring his immense contributions to the nation and his rare qualities as a statesman.
