PATNA — Reacting to Union Minister Chirag Paswan's recent statement, former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav criticized Paswan over the issue of the caste census. Yadav pointed out that while Paswan talks about the importance of the caste census, he is a part of a government that has not taken action on it.

Yadav emphasized that his party has been advocating for a nationwide caste census from the beginning. He also mentioned that a delegation had approached the Prime Minister to discuss the matter but was denied. Following this refusal, Yadav highlighted that his government in Bihar took the initiative to conduct a caste census independently. This move underscores Yadav's commitment to the issue, contrasting it with what he perceives as Paswan's inconsistent stance.
