Patna, Bihar: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday addressed supporters of the Mahagathbandhan alliance participating in the ‘Bihar Bandh’ protest, alleging political interference in the ongoing electoral roll revision process. The bandh was called by opposition parties in Bihar to protest against what they claim are irregularities in the state’s voter list update.

Speaking to a crowd of party workers and demonstrators in Patna, Yadav accused the central and state governments of attempting to remove names of economically disadvantaged citizens from the voter rolls. “On the directions of Modi ji and Nitish Kumar, the names of the poor people are being removed from the voter list,” he claimed.

He further said, “Modi ji and Nitish Kumar ji's 'dadagiri' will not work,” reiterating his party’s stance against what it views as targeted disenfranchisement.
