Patna: Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav has launched a scathing attack on the state government, accusing those in power of looting public funds in anticipation of losing office. The remarks come amid rising political temperatures ahead of the upcoming assembly elections.
Speaking to the media in Patna, Yadav said, “Those in power understand that they will not be back in government and hence they are looting from the government treasury. They are giving tenders to outsiders and in a hurry just to get commission.”
He alleged that large-scale irregularities are taking place in government projects, with contracts being hurriedly issued to external parties without proper oversight or transparency. According to Yadav, the motive behind these rushed deals is not public welfare but personal enrichment.
