PATNA — As political temperatures rise ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, BJP leader and former Union Minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain hit out at RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav over his recent promise to transfer ₹30,000 into the accounts of women under the proposed ‘Mai Bahin Maan Yojana’.

Hussain alleged that the RJD leader’s announcement was a desperate attempt to woo voters as the election campaign nears its final leg. “Tejashwi Yadav knows that he is heading for a massive defeat in the elections. The ‘Mahagathbandhan’ is facing a major loss,” he said.

The BJP leader further accused Yadav of misleading the public with hollow assurances. “That’s why, as campaigning for the first phase comes to an end, he is making false and empty promises. No one believes his words anymore. Even the manifesto he released has been rejected by the people,” Hussain added.
