Patna, Bihar: Janshakti Janta Dal Chief Tej Pratap Yadav on Saturday announced that a cricket stadium will be constructed in Mahua, expressing his ambition to one day host an India versus Pakistan match there. The statement came as part of his broader remarks distancing himself from his former party, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).

Speaking at a public gathering, Yadav said, “A cricket stadium will also be built in Mahua, and I will make sure an India vs Pakistan match is played. I have no competition in Mahua.”

Taking a sharp dig at his brother, Tejashwi Yadav, he added, “JP Lohia, Karpuri Thakur, and Lalu Prasad Yadav, among other senior leaders, are jannayak. Tejashwi cannot be a jannayak because he has reached here because of my father.”

Clarifying his political position, Tej Pratap declared, “I am no longer in the lantern (RJD)... I am not greedy for any post. If I am offered anything in the RJD, I will reject it. I will never form an alliance with anyone.”
