Chennai – Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting sportspersons and gearing up for political challenges during a recent address.

Speaking at an event honoring athletes, Udhayanidhi announced significant financial incentives for medal winners. “Today we have given cash incentives to about 1,000 sportspersons who won medals in national and international competitions. About Rs 26 crore has been allocated by the Chief Minister,” he said. The move highlights the state’s focus on encouraging sports talent and fostering excellence on national and international platforms.

Shifting focus to the upcoming Erode by-polls, the Deputy CM expressed confidence in the DMK’s readiness. “We are ready, we are going to face the election. Our leader will take the decision,” Udhayanidhi stated, reflecting the party’s disciplined approach to election strategy.
