Delhi: West Bengal BJP President and Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar has strongly condemned the recent violence against Hindus in Bangladesh, labeling it as an "outright attack on Hindus and Hinduism." Speaking on the matter, Majumdar expressed concern over the declining Hindu population in Bangladesh, which has reduced to just 8%.

“The incidents are a shame on humanity. The Hindus of Bangladesh have been reduced to 8%, and we cannot do anything about it,” Majumdar stated. He emphasized the importance of Indian Hindus, especially those in Bengal, learning from these events to safeguard their community and culture.

The BJP leader also criticized Nobel laureate Mohammad Yunus, accusing him of being "merely a puppet," without elaborating further on his remarks.

Majumdar's comments come amid growing concerns over minority rights in Bangladesh and their implications for the Hindu community. His statements are seen as part of a larger discourse on protecting Hindu interests both within and outside India.
