New Delhi: Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the 26th International Conference of Chief Justices of the World, BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi on Thursday underscored India’s rapid digital transformation and its rising global influence in technology-driven governance. Speaking before an international audience of jurists and legal scholars, Trivedi said India now contributes “48% of the world’s digital transactions,” a figure he noted surpasses the combined volumes of the United States and China.
“That shows how the country is changing,” he remarked, highlighting India’s emergence as a global digital payments leader and a pioneer in scalable tech platforms such as UPI. Trivedi noted that the present era is defined by rapid technological interconnection, which, he said, is reshaping societies, economies and governance structures across the world.
Reflecting on India’s role in shaping global discourse during its G20 presidency, Trivedi recalled the summit’s adopted motto, Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — an ancient Sanskrit phrase meaning “the world is one family.” He emphasised that the theme, chosen by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had gained international resonance and symbolised India’s civilisational message of unity, inclusiveness and global harmony. “That has become the motive of G20,” he said.
