Delhi: Samajwadi Party MP Iqra Hasan on Saturday criticized the government for allegedly restricting the rights of citizens and public representatives to protest and move freely. Speaking to the media, Hasan cited recent incidents in Ladakh and Bareilly as examples, asserting that the administration is acting under pressure from the ruling party.
Hasan also referred to the situation in Sambhal, where she said her party members were prevented from visiting, suggesting that such actions are now being used for political propaganda. She emphasized that no law, authority, or order exists to bar citizens or elected representatives from exercising their rights, and described the government’s approach as “blatant dictatorship.”
