New Delhi, June 16: Senior Congress leader and Chairperson of the Congress Parliamentary Party, Sonia Gandhi, was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi on Sunday night (June 15, 2025) due to a stomach-related health issue.

According to Dr. Ajay Swaroop, Chairman of the hospital, Gandhi was admitted around 9:00 PM under the care of the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology. “She is currently stable and the doctors are closely monitoring her health,” he said in an official statement released this morning.

Hospital sources indicate that the Congress veteran is undergoing a thorough medical evaluation and is being kept under observation as a precautionary measure.
