Mumbai: Following the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 results, social activist Mayank Gandhi has launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), blaming its downfall on corruption and deviation from its original ideals.

"When AAP was formed, there was an idea of forming a new political narrative, but it became like every other political party and played the same game of corruption," Gandhi said.

A former member of the India Against Corruption movement, Gandhi was once closely associated with AAP but later distanced himself from politics. Reflecting on his decision, he remarked, "This is why I quit politics and went to serve in a village."

Gandhi alleged that AAP’s politics had stooped to low levels, resorting to baseless accusations and power struggles rather than governance.

"When they lost, it was a relief that people understood the reality of the party and that man (Arvind Kejriwal)," he added.

Emphasizing the need for competent leadership in politics, he stated, "Politics is a place for the best and the brightest… But they committed scams, and I even have information on the cases that are about to be filed against them."
