Delhi: BJP leader Smriti Irani recently met former Delhi President and Union Minister Vijay Goyal at his residence, where she emphasized the importance of reinforcing the party's presence at the grassroots level. During the meeting, Irani highlighted the significance of the BJP's symbol, the Lotus, as an integral part of the party’s political identity.
"The Lotus symbol is our political identity," Irani said, adding that it is a matter of pride for BJP workers across the nation. She also urged Goyal to install the nameplate featuring the party symbol outside both his office and residence, symbolizing his continued commitment to the party’s growth.
Irani’s remarks reflect the BJP’s ongoing focus on solidifying its foundation in Delhi, a city that has seen fluctuating political dynamics over the years. The emphasis on the Lotus symbol is seen as a symbolic gesture to reinforce party unity, especially as the BJP looks to strengthen its influence at the local level.
"The strength of the party lies in its workers, and it is crucial to reinforce the party's presence at the booth and mandal levels," Irani added. Her message resonated with BJP workers, underscoring the need for a united and well-organized structure to ensure electoral success in the upcoming polls.
Vijay Goyal, a key figure in the party’s Delhi chapter, welcomed the suggestion and expressed his commitment to furthering the BJP's agenda in the national capital. The meeting marks a step in the BJP’s strategy to consolidate support ahead of future elections, especially as it aims to strengthen its position in the crucial Delhi region.
