Mumbai, Maharashtra: Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde has affirmed that the party will contest the upcoming local body elections across Maharashtra as part of the Mahayuti alliance, which includes the BJP and the NCP (Ajit Pawar faction). Speaking after a series of region-wise review meetings in Mumbai, Shinde said party representatives from different parts of the state had shared detailed feedback on the organization’s local performance and preparedness.

“Our party office bearers came here from different parts of Maharashtra. We held region-wise meetings here and heard all workers regarding the strengths of the party at the local levels,” Shinde stated. He added that discussions also focused on how the party has been functioning and the roadmap for future political activities.

Emphasizing unity within the ruling coalition, the Shiv Sena leader said, “Mahayuti is in power in Maharashtra, and we will contest as Mahayuti in most of the places.” However, he noted that if local circumstances warrant different arrangements, feedback from workers would be conveyed to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for final consideration.
