Sehore, Madhya Pradesh | Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday chaired an important meeting to assess agricultural preparedness ahead of the Rabi season and to review relief measures for farmers affected by crop damage. The meeting was attended by senior officials from Bhopal and Delhi, with discussions centered on ensuring a smooth fertilizer distribution system and timely support for affected farmers.
“Today, an important meeting was held, in which we included officials from Bhopal and Delhi. We had a comprehensive discussion about making arrangements to ensure that our farmer brothers easily get fertilizers for the Rabi crop,” Chouhan said.
He emphasized that the government is closely monitoring the availability of fertilizers and will take all necessary steps to prevent any distribution-related issues.
Addressing recent agricultural setbacks, Chouhan noted that the soybean crop in several regions had suffered damage due to yellow mosaic disease and excessive rainfall. “The amount of Revenue Book Circular (RBC) has been registered in the farmers' accounts. A re-survey is necessary and will also be done so that no farmer who has actually suffered losses is left out and can avail the benefits of the crop insurance scheme,” he added.
