Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh: Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday reviewed the functioning of the Agriculture Department in Vidisha and announced several measures to improve fertiliser availability and agricultural services for farmers.
During his visit, Chouhan stated, “I have reviewed the work of the Agriculture Department in Vidisha today. It has been decided that the facility of online fertiliser will continue. An arrangement will also be made to distribute fertiliser to the farmers offline.”
He added that the administration would monitor the distribution process on a daily basis to ensure transparency and efficiency. The dual system aims to make fertiliser access easier for farmers, particularly those in remote areas with limited digital connectivity.
The minister also held discussions with local officials regarding the city’s ongoing and upcoming development projects. He emphasised that the government’s focus remains on improving rural infrastructure, strengthening the agricultural supply chain, and ensuring that welfare schemes directly benefit farmers.
