Mumbai: Shiv Sena-UBT on Wednesday urged the Centre to take immediate and decisive action following the Delhi blast, which has been officially termed a “terrorist incident” by the Government of India and claimed 12 lives. Speaking to reporters, party spokesperson Anand Dubey said the attack had shaken the entire country and called for those responsible to be traced and punished without delay.

Dubey criticised what he described as a misplaced government focus, pointing to political activity tied to the Bihar elections at a time when national security required undivided attention. “The incident has shaken the whole country and has claimed 12 lives. PM Modi said Operation Sindoor is still on... They are focusing on the Bihar election and not on national security,” he said, urging authorities to prioritise investigations and public safety.

The Shiv Sena-UBT leader emphasised that terrorism demands a rapid, coordinated response from all security and intelligence agencies. “Strict, timely action is required in this case, and those responsible must be traced and punished,” Dubey added, stressing the need for transparency about the steps being taken to prevent further attacks.

Dubey also called for better on-ground preparedness and accountability, saying political considerations must not impede law enforcement operations or the delivery of justice to victims and their families. His remarks reflect mounting opposition pressure on the Centre to demonstrate swift results in the probe and to reassure citizens about their safety as investigations continue.
