In a video address, Shiv Sena leader Krishna Hegde spoke out against the continuous accusations leveled by the opposition since the formation of the Eknath Shinde-led Mahayuti government in Maharashtra. He specifically addressed comments made by Maharashtra Leader of Opposition Vijay Wadettiwar regarding the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) buses.
Hegde asserted that the opposition's claims are unfounded and highlighted the previous government's shortcomings, stating, "I would like to tell them that during their rule, they did not give salaries or bonuses to MSRTC workers, carried lathi charge on workers." He emphasized the hardships faced by MSRTC employees under the opposition's governance, illustrating a stark contrast to the current administration.
Since the Shinde government came to power, Hegde claimed there has been a significant push towards development and innovation within the MSRTC. He expressed confidence that the current government is committed to addressing the concerns of workers and enhancing the operational efficiency of the state transport system.
Hegde's remarks come as part of a broader effort by the Shiv Sena to defend the government's record and counter criticisms from opposition parties. He encouraged the public to recognize the positive changes implemented since the Shinde-led administration took over, suggesting that the government's initiatives will ultimately benefit both the workers and the commuting public in Maharashtra.
