Delhi: Shiv Sena has declared its support for the BJP in the upcoming Delhi Assembly Elections 2025. The announcement was made by Shiv Sena leader Sandeep Chaudhary, who emphasized the directive from Shiv Sena chief and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to back BJP for the elections.
"Shiv Sena chief and Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde has directed the Delhi unit of Shiv Sena to support BJP in the Delhi Assembly elections because there should be no division of votes among the political parties with the same ideology," Chaudhary stated.
He further elaborated that while the Shiv Sena had initially prepared to contest the Delhi elections, the decision to support the BJP was taken to consolidate votes in favor of a common ideological front. "We had prepared for the Delhi elections, but now we have given our full support to BJP," he said, adding that the BJP holds a strong position in Delhi at present.
