Jodhpur: Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat lauded the Jodhpur Udyog Handicraft Festival for its significant contributions to the promotion of industry and handicrafts. Speaking at an event, Shekhawat said, "For the past 34 years, this festival has been a major hub of industry, handicraft, and trade in Jodhpur. It has provided a vital platform for artisans and industrialists to showcase their talents and innovations."
The festival, which attracts participants from 20 states across the country, is a celebrated event in Jodhpur's cultural and economic calendar. "This year, handicraftsmen and industrialists from various parts of India will converge here, highlighting the diverse and rich heritage of Indian craftsmanship," the minister added.
In addition to exhibitions, the festival will host various conferences focusing on industry and handicrafts, providing a space for discussions on challenges, opportunities, and innovations in the sector. Shekhawat emphasized the need for such initiatives to support artisans and boost local economies.
