Delhi | BJP National Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla on Sunday said that India’s security agencies and government are operating with a clear vision of “zero tolerance against terror,” citing recent actions from Jammu and Kashmir to Faridabad as evidence of heightened vigilance.
Addressing reporters in Delhi, Poonawalla asserted that the nation’s security forces are actively exposing what he described as “the evil intentions of terrorists.” He emphasized that the government’s proactive approach is ensuring that threats are neutralized before they can harm citizens.
“You can see in all the media channels and outlets that from Jammu Kashmir to Faridabad, the country's security agencies and the government are fully alert and are exposing the evil intentions of the terrorists,” Poonawalla said. “There is a vision of ‘zero tolerance against terror,’” he added.
He also launched a sharp attack on the Congress party, accusing it of having a “soft corner” for terrorism, particularly Islamic jihadi extremism. Poonawalla alleged that the Congress-led Karnataka government was providing “VVIP treatment” to an Islamist terrorist currently lodged in a state prison.
