Shashi Tharoor Suggests Earlier PM Visit to Wayanad

Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the landslide-hit Wayanad, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor expressed that an earlier visit would have been more beneficial.

Tharoor commented, "It would have been better if he had gone earlier and seen the conditions on the ground as some of us have done." He emphasized the need for a national disaster declaration, hoping that Modi's visit would lead to such an announcement. "I hope that with PM Modi's visit, the government will now make it a point to actually go ahead and declare this a national disaster so that the appropriate level of assistance can follow," Tharoor added.
