Mumbai: With the National Democratic Alliance securing a decisive lead in the Bihar Assembly Elections, Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC on Friday hailed the outcome as “historic,” attributing the mandate to high voter participation and a strong turnout of women voters. Speaking to reporters in Mumbai, she said the emerging results underscored a clear public endorsement of the NDA’s governance model.

“The NDA has created history in Bihar. Out of 243 assembly seats, winning more than 190 is historic for two reasons. First, voter turnout was over 61%. Second, women came out in large numbers to vote,” Shaina NC said, emphasising that women’s electoral participation played a significant role in shaping the outcome. She added that the results showed the public had “clearly rejected the era of jungle raj,” a phrase often used by NDA leaders to criticise the governance record of the opposition.

Shaina NC also commended the Election Commission for conducting a large-scale poll process smoothly, noting that the high turnout reflected public trust in the electoral system. “I congratulate the Election Commission for successfully conducting such a large-scale election,” she said.
