Mumbai, June 11 — Marking 11 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC lauded the government’s performance, highlighting transformative initiatives in women's welfare, social justice, poverty reduction, and economic growth.
Speaking at a press briefing in Mumbai, Shaina NC said, “From 'Lakhpati Didis' to self-help groups, the Prime Minister has done a lot of work for women.” She emphasized the Modi government's decision to increase maternity leave from 12 to 26 weeks with full pay as a landmark step toward empowering working women.
Turning to broader welfare reforms, she credited the government for integrating marginalized communities into the national mainstream. “The decision to bring SCs, STs, and OBCs into the mainstream is limitless in its impact,” she noted, referring to policy efforts aimed at social inclusion.
Claiming that poverty eradication is among the government’s biggest accomplishments, Shaina said, “We have eradicated poverty and demonstrated that the welfare of the poor is the hallmark of an accountable government.” She pointed to statistics suggesting that 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty under the Modi administration.
On the economic front, she declared that India’s emergence as the world’s fourth-largest economy is a testament to the Modi government’s vision. “India is moving towards becoming a trillion-dollar economy,” she added, reflecting growing confidence in the country’s fiscal trajectory.
