Mumbai: Marking 17 years since the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, Shiv Sena spokesperson Shaina NC on Wednesday paid tribute to the victims and security personnel who lost their lives during the assault. She said the bravery of those who made the “supreme sacrifice” must forever remain part of the country’s collective memory.
Speaking on the occasion, Shaina NC underlined the need for enhanced global cooperation to tackle terrorism in an increasingly complex and interconnected security environment. “People who made the supreme sacrifice, civilians who lost their lives will always be remembered. Counter terror cooperation is the need of the hour,” she said.
She stressed that countries should openly exchange experiences and expertise, particularly in areas such as technology deployment, intelligence gathering and coordinated response mechanisms. Highlighting the lessons drawn from the 2008 attacks, she said multi-nation collaboration, military partnerships and shared defence strategies would be crucial in preventing future threats.
“Every country should exchange their experiences… where India and other nations make coordinated efforts regarding 26/11 and military cooperation,” she said, adding that strategic partnerships and strong communication channels could significantly strengthen global resilience against terror.
