New Delhi: Delhi Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) President Saurabh Bharadwaj on Wednesday criticised the handling of relief efforts following the recent Delhi bomb attack, alleging that political leaders and officials prioritised publicity over proper medical care for victims.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Bharadwaj claimed that hospital protocol was ignored after the attack. “After the bomb attack, there is a set protocol that must be followed. However, a patient was not given first aid but was kept waiting until a Delhi government official arrived at the hospital,” he wrote.

He further alleged that photo sessions were conducted inside the hospital ward instead of focusing on urgent medical assistance. “Photo sessions took place inside the ward. The patient was not given a plaster on the same day; it was only after the Prime Minister arrived the next day that he was provided with a fresh plaster on his hand,” Bharadwaj stated.

Condemning what he described as political insensitivity, the AAP leader said, “Politicians are busy carrying out PR stunts during difficult times.”
