New Delhi — Aam Aadmi Party’s Delhi president, Saurabh Bharadwaj, has questioned the government over its decision to accept a ceasefire during Operation Sindoor, despite reported military advantages.

Reacting to the Indian Air Force chief’s recent confirmation that five Pakistani fighter jets were shot down by S-400 air defence systems during the operation, Bharadwaj said, “…IAF chief said that 5 Pakistani jets were shot down. We were winning the war… The central government should disclose the pressure under which they agreed to a ceasefire. This was the best chance to bring back PoK.”

Bharadwaj’s remarks echo similar concerns voiced by opposition leaders, who have pressed for greater transparency on the circumstances surrounding the end of the operation.
