In Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav outlined the state’s proactive measures to combat vector-borne diseases. Speaking about the ongoing efforts, Yadav revealed that each medical camp now has two medical officers deployed. Over the past seven days, the state has conducted more than one lakh outpatient visits, reflecting the scale of the public health response.
Yadav highlighted the comprehensive approach being taken, including door-to-door deceased surveys to better understand and address the impact of vector-borne diseases. Additionally, the Health Ministry has developed a new app aimed at improving disease tracking and management.
To further enhance control measures, the state is implementing house-to-house vector surveillance. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to contain and prevent the spread of diseases transmitted by vectors such as mosquitoes.
The minister's comments underscore the government's commitment to addressing health challenges through a combination of medical outreach, technological tools, and rigorous monitoring.
