New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Wednesday levelled serious allegations of corruption against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), claiming that an audit report by the Uttar Pradesh government has exposed financial irregularities worth ₹250 crore in Ayodhya.
Addressing a press conference, Singh accused the ruling party of diverting public funds under the guise of development projects. “I am repeatedly saying that the BJP is a ‘chanda chor’ party. They have adopted the approach of ‘Ram Ram japna, janta ka maal apna,’” he said.
He alleged that the audit department’s findings reveal large-scale corruption linked to developmental works in Ayodhya. “The audit department of the UP government has exposed the corruption of ₹250 crore in Ayodhya. It is wide in the open,” Singh claimed.
Questioning the role of central investigative agencies, the AAP leader said, “What are the ED and CBI doing? If it would have been any other party, everybody would have been apprehended. This is a big corruption which I exposed today.”
