New Delhi: Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Monday launched a sharp attack on the government during the Lok Sabha discussion on Operation Sindoor, alleging serious security failures in Jammu and Kashmir and questioning the Prime Minister’s absence from the debate.
“At the time we had demanded a two-day special session... Now, a two-day discussion will be done after we raised a demand for it. I think the Prime Minister will not come as he will have to answer questions about President Trump,” Raut said.
He described the Pahalgam terror attack as a major lapse in a region directly administered by the Centre. “The Pahalgam attack was a huge security lapse in Centre-governed J&K. The terrorists entered 400 km inside J&K. These terrorists have not been found yet. This is a lapse on the part of the Home Ministry. The Home Minister should have resigned,” he asserted.
Commenting on Congress leader P Chidambaram’s controversial statement, Raut added, “Chidambaram sahib might be saying the right thing. Home Minister should have resigned.”
