Sanjay Raut Criticizes Trump’s Tariff Remarks, Questions Indian Government’s Silence

New Delhi – Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and Member of Parliament Sanjay Raut has strongly criticized former U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent statement threatening substantial tariffs on India over its continued oil trade with Russia.

Addressing the media in Delhi, Raut expressed concern over what he described as repeated attempts by Trump to pressure India. “Trump has been threatening India repeatedly. But our PM and government are not ready to say a word on this,” he said.

The MP questioned the legitimacy of Trump’s remarks, stating, “Who is President Trump to put pressure on India? No Russian or American president ever spoke this way about India before.”
