Delhi: Reacting to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's reported willingness to lead the INDIA alliance, Shiv Sena UBT MP Sanjay Raut expressed support, highlighting her potential role as a key figure in the opposition coalition.
“We know this opinion of Mamata ji. We also want her to be a major partner of the INDIA alliance,” Raut said, emphasizing her importance in the collective effort. He reiterated the alliance’s focus on unity among opposition leaders, naming Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Shiv Sena (UBT) as pivotal allies in this partnership.
Raut further disclosed plans for direct engagement with Mamata Banerjee to strengthen ties within the coalition. “We will soon go to talk to Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata,” he added, signaling proactive steps toward building consensus.
The INDIA alliance, comprising a range of opposition parties, aims to present a unified challenge to the ruling BJP in the upcoming elections. Leaders across the political spectrum have been strategizing to consolidate their positions and align on common goals.
