Bhubaneswar: Samir Mohanty, former Odisha BJP chief, has lauded the Odisha state budget, describing it as both historic and oriented towards the needs of the people. In his remarks, Mohanty emphasized the budget's focus on benefiting the state's large agricultural community.
"This is a historic budget, this is a people-oriented budget," Mohanty stated. He noted that while election manifestos are often seen as formalities, the BJP’s manifesto was developed with substantial input from the public.
He highlighted the significance of the budget for Odisha's predominantly agricultural population, saying, "65-70% of Odisha are farmers. This is a budget benefitting them."
