Puri, Odisha — Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Sambit Patra on Saturday expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi for releasing the third instalment of the Subhadra Yojana on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

Speaking at an event in Puri, Patra said, “Today is the holy festival of Raksha Bandhan, and I thank PM Modi and CM Mohan Charan Majhi, as on this occasion they released the third instalment of Subhadra Yojana. PM Modi has done what he promised.”

According to Patra, the funds have been directly transferred into the bank accounts of more than one crore women across the state. He described the move as a step towards economic empowerment and inclusive growth.

Highlighting the government’s broader vision, Patra added, “India will become a Viksit Bharat by 2047.” The statement aligns with the Centre’s long-term development goals aimed at transforming India into a fully developed nation within the next two decades.
