New Delhi: BJP MP Sambit Patra launched a sharp attack on AAP MP Sanjay Singh and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, accusing them of indulging in appeasement politics and maligning Poorvanchali voters. The remarks come amid heightened political tensions ahead of the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections.
“The way AAP MP Sanjay Singh compared Poorvanchali voters with Rohingyas and people from Bangladesh in Parliament shows Arvind Kejriwal's uneasiness because he knows he is going to lose the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections,” Patra said during a media interaction in Delhi.
Highlighting BJP's connection with the Poorvanchali community, Patra pointed out that Union Minister and BJP National President JP Nadda was born in Patna and represents the values of Poorvanchalis.
Patra went on to accuse the Delhi Chief Minister of favoring illegal immigrants. “Arvind Kejriwal supports Rohingyas and Bangladeshis. He does the politics of appeasement and creates his vote bank by settling Rohingyas and Bangladeshis (in Delhi),” he alleged.
The BJP leader also emphasized that Delhi residents would not overlook AAP's alleged corruption. “The people of Delhi will not forgive him for corruption,” he added, signaling an intense electoral battle in the state.
The remarks are likely to escalate the war of words between the BJP and AAP as both parties gear up for the Delhi Assembly elections, with issues of governance, voter identity, and corruption taking center stage.
