By A Staff Reporter — In a pointed critique of the ongoing air pollution crisis in Delhi, Samajwadi Party leader Manoj Yadav expressed disappointment over the lack of effective measures implemented by the Delhi government and its neighboring states, Punjab and Haryana. He stated, "No effective steps have been taken to resolve this issue (air pollution). It is unfortunate that Delhi, being a national capital where ambassadors of different countries reside, sends a message on what measures have been taken to make it pollution-free."
Yadav emphasized the importance of addressing air quality, especially in a city that serves as a political and diplomatic hub. He argued that the inaction not only affects residents but also tarnishes India's image on the global stage. "Until now, no such mechanism has been introduced," he pointed out, urging state governments to take responsibility for the deteriorating air quality.
His remarks come amidst growing public concern and health warnings related to the harmful effects of air pollution, particularly during the winter months when smog often blankets the city. Yadav's call for action echoes the sentiments of many environmental activists and citizens who are demanding concrete steps to combat air pollution.
As the situation continues to pose health risks, the need for a coordinated and effective response from both state and central authorities has never been more critical
