Indore, Madhya Pradesh: Businessman Robert Vadra on Sunday voiced strong dissatisfaction over the Bihar Assembly election results, alleging that the public mandate had not reflected the people’s will. Speaking in Indore, Vadra said the newly formed government must now focus on fulfilling the promises made during the campaign, even as discontent brews among voters.
Vadra claimed that widespread unhappiness over the results persists and accused the Election Commission of extending undue support to the BJP. “He made it clear that the EC is helping the BJP,” he said, reiterating opposition allegations that the electoral process was compromised. “People are not happy with the results.”
He announced that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi would be in Bihar the following day, suggesting that his presence would galvanise public engagement. “Rahul will be among the people there tomorrow. Many young people are joining him, and it will be a movement in its own way,” Vadra said. He added that both Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra would continue to work tirelessly despite the political setback.
Emphasising the broader national implications, Vadra said the fight for electoral fairness was not limited to one state. “We have to save democracy across the country; that is the most important thing,” he remarked. “This fight will continue, and everyone feels that it is harmful for the country. There will be no progress without fair elections. This is what everyone thinks.”
