New Delhi, June 17: Amid questions over businessman Robert Vadra’s foreign travel while the Enforcement Directorate (ED) issued fresh summons, his advocate, Suman Jyoti Khaitan, has issued a detailed statement asserting that Vadra’s trip was fully sanctioned by the court.

Khaitan clarified that Vadra has travelled abroad to attend his daughter’s graduation ceremony with the prior permission of the Hon’ble Court. “This permission was obtained well before the service of the latest summons by ED,” he said. The compliance application, including flight details dated June 17, 2025, and other requisite documentation, was duly submitted in line with the court’s order dated May 29, 2025.

Furthermore, the court acknowledged and accepted the compliance on June 10, 2025. “A copy of the said application along with the affidavit was also served upon the ED. In addition, an intimation thereof has also been sent to ED,” the statement said.
