New Delhi: Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) leader Malook Nagar on Friday endorsed Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s recent remarks regarding the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections in 2025. Nagar reiterated that Nitish Kumar would continue as the NDA’s face for the top post if the alliance secures victory.
Speaking to reporters, Nagar said, “Amit Shah has clearly stated that if the NDA wins, Nitish ji will become the Chief Minister, and an official declaration will be made after the elections. It is evident there is no infighting in our NDA, unlike in the Mahagathbandhan.”
Criticizing the opposition, Nagar took a dig at the Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), saying that the opposition bloc was struggling with leadership issues. “Congress assumes it will win many seats, but it is mistaken in its calculations. Tejashwi Yadav declared Rahul Gandhi as the prime ministerial candidate, but he didn’t do the same in Bihar by declaring Tejashwi as the chief ministerial candidate. That’s why they are holding separate rallies,” he added.
