Relief Operations Intensify in Ramban; Jitendra Singh to Visit District Headquarters

Ramban, April 22: Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh has assured the public that comprehensive relief and restoration operations are underway in Ramban district following severe disruptions caused by recent adverse weather and landslides. In a detailed update posted on social media, the minister praised the relentless efforts of the local administration and confirmed that he would personally visit the district headquarters tomorrow to assess the situation and coordinate further action.

"Ramban Update—The relief operations are in full swing. Administration is doing its best despite the most unfavourable circumstances. DC Baseer Choudhary is personally camping in the affected area," Singh stated in his tweet.

According to the latest figures shared by the minister, significant progress has been made in restoring basic services. Of the 1,762 Distribution Transformers (DTs) affected, 1,486 have been brought back online, with work ongoing on the remaining 286. The water supply network has also seen major improvements, with 89 out of 98 water supply schemes (WSS) already functional and restoration of the remaining 9 in progress.
