Berlin, Germany — BJP senior leader and Member of Parliament Ravi Shankar Prasad has stated that Operation Sindoor, India’s counter-terror offensive following the Pahalgam attack, is currently “on pause” — but not concluded — and is contingent on Pakistan’s future conduct.

Speaking from Berlin during a diplomatic visit, Prasad confirmed the sequence of events that led to the operation. “Pahalgam attack happened on April 22. We attacked on May 7 and hit the terrorist camps,” he said, referring to the Indian Army’s retaliatory strikes targeting terror infrastructure.

Reinforcing India’s assertive stance, he added, “Our message was stern and straight: If you stop, we stop. If you fire, we will give a stronger reply.”

The veteran BJP leader also made it clear that any discussions involving Pakistan must take place directly and bilaterally. “If Pakistan has to talk, it must directly speak to us,” he asserted, dismissing any third-party mediation.
