Delhi: BJP MP Ravi Kishan on Thursday launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his comments on Home Minister Amit Shah’s Lok Sabha speech, accusing the Congress leadership of reacting out of “frustration” after electoral setbacks. Speaking to reporters, Kishan said, “Speaking the truth is not being defensive. They just don’t want to hear the truth. They say anything without thinking.”
He added that his responses were honest because he himself was “honest,” and claimed the Congress was unsettled after its defeat in Bihar and the possibility of another loss in West Bengal. “This is why they are behaving stupid. This is not how a mature politician behaves,” he remarked.
The BJP parliamentarian also responded to Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan’s recent tweet praising the film Dhurandhar, which has sparked nationwide conversation. Kishan endorsed the film strongly, saying every Indian should watch it. “The film shows the real story of the country—the attack on Parliament, the Taj Hotel attack, how terrorist operations were planned,” he said.
Emphasising its national significance, Kishan added, “I strongly request 140 crore Indians to watch Dhurandhar. People will understand the conspiracies carried out against India, and how our soldiers and intelligence agencies have worked and sacrificed their lives. We should feel proud.”
