Thiruvananthapuram, July 1 — Ravada A Chandrasekhar formally took charge as the new Kerala State Police Chief today, addressing the media in his first press conference since assuming office. Expressing gratitude to the state leadership, he pledged to continue the legacy of professionalism and service upheld by the Kerala Police.

“I have taken charge. I'm thankful to the Chief Minister and Government of Kerala for having given this opportunity to serve the people of Kerala,” Chandrasekhar stated, adding that the Kerala Police is a “very professional force” known for its commitment and efficiency.

The newly appointed Director General of Police (DGP) acknowledged the work of his predecessors and colleagues, emphasizing continuity in leadership. “Kerala Police has been doing a wonderful job. My predecessors and colleagues have been doing a great job here. We'd like to continue the same trend,” he said.
