Bhubaneswar, Odisha: Union Minister Ramdas Athawale on Saturday attributed the record voter turnout in the first phase of the Bihar Assembly Election 2025 to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development policies and consistent focus on the state’s progress. Speaking to reporters in Bhubaneswar, Athawale said the response from the electorate indicated strong support for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
“The main reason for the record voter turnout in the first phase is PM Modi’s development package for Bihar and his consistent efforts towards the state’s progress,” Athawale stated. He added that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had also played a significant role in advancing Bihar’s growth over the years.
Expressing confidence in the NDA’s victory, Athawale said, “I believe we will secure a majority and form the government under the NDA alliance, with Nitish Kumar as the leader.” He dismissed the Opposition’s prospects, saying the people of Bihar had not forgotten the misgovernance of the past.
