Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra | Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is set to visit Sambhajinagar today, April 18, to attend the unveiling ceremony of a statue of Maharana Pratap, the legendary Rajput warrior known for his indomitable spirit and resistance against Mughal rule.
Taking to social media earlier in the day, Singh expressed his anticipation for the event. “Today, 18th April, I shall be in Sambhajinagar (Maharashtra). A statue of great warrior, Maharana Pratap will be unveiled in Sambhajinagar later in the evening. Looking forward to attend the ceremony,” he posted.
The ceremony is expected to draw local dignitaries, historians, and members of the public, as well as leaders from various political and cultural organizations. The statue aims to serve not only as a symbol of regional pride but also as a tribute to Maharana Pratap’s enduring legacy of courage, patriotism, and resistance in Indian history.
