New Delhi | Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh paid tribute to the nation’s police and paramilitary personnel at the National Police Memorial in New Delhi on the occasion of Police Commemoration Day. The Defence Minister lauded their unwavering service and sacrifices in safeguarding the country’s internal security.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Singh wrote, “Paid tributes to Police and Paramilitary forces personnel for their service to the nation during my visit to National Police Memorial in New Delhi on the occasion of Police Commemoration Day.”
Emphasizing the shared mission between the armed forces and the police, Singh said, “The military and police function on different platforms, but their mission is the same — to protect the nation.” He highlighted the vital role of internal and external security as India strives toward the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
“As we look towards Viksit Bharat by 2047, balancing the external and internal security of the nation is more important than ever. The police and paramilitary forces have been diligently discharging their duties towards this mission,” he added.
