New Delhi – In a strong statement reflecting the gravity of post-Operation Sindoor tensions, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh revealed that following India’s successful counter-terror strikes, Pakistan attempted retaliatory attacks on Indian soil, targeting civilians and places of worship.
“But as is Pakistan’s habit, it does not concede easily. It began trying to attack Indian soil, attempting to target innocent civilians. Temples, Gurdwaras, and Churches were deliberately targeted,” said Singh, underlining the desperate measures undertaken by Pakistan after suffering heavy losses in Operation Sindoor.
India had launched Operation Sindoor in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack. The mission saw Indian forces eliminate several terrorist hideouts within Pakistan through precise, intelligence-based strikes. Singh reiterated that India’s military ensured minimal collateral damage and kept Pakistan’s civilian population unharmed.
