New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday held a warm and constructive meeting with Mongolian President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa in the national capital, focusing on ways to deepen the long-standing strategic partnership between India and Mongolia.
In a post on X, Singh said, “Had a warm and wonderful conversation with my friend President Khurelsukh Ukhanaa in New Delhi. Exchanged views on efforts for diversification into new areas of cooperation, while also deepening existing programmes of shared interest. Reaffirmed our commitment to further strengthen the India-Mongolia partnership.”

The discussions are part of India’s broader outreach to enhance engagement with East Asian countries under its “Act East” policy. India and Mongolia share close historical and cultural ties, with both countries emphasizing cooperation in defence, energy, mining, and Buddhist heritage conservation.
