Jaipur, Rajasthan: Rajasthan Minister Jawahar Singh Bedham responded to the ongoing controversy surrounding the 2021 SI Exam paper leak, accusing Congress leaders of admitting to irregularities in the recruitment process during their tenure. Bedham’s comments came after Congress raised questions regarding the cancellation of the SI recruitment exams.

"Congress leaders are raising questions over the cancellation of the SI recruitment. So, one thing is clear: they had admitted that during their government, there were rampant irregularities in SI recruitment. So, Congress is guilty of it," Bedham stated.

The controversy centers around the paper leak of the Rajasthan Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment exam, which led to its cancellation in 2021. Bedham expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma for taking swift action. "I would like to express gratitude to CM Bhajanlal Sharma that immediately after assuming office, he formed an SIT to make the dreams of youth a reality," he said.

Bedham emphasized that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) thoroughly investigated the matter and submitted its report to the state government. He revealed that the government then formed a sub-committee to evaluate the findings. However, with the case now sub-judice, he refrained from making further comments on the specifics.

The Minister further urged Congress to engage in self-introspection. “The youth are disturbed due to the sins of their tenure,” he remarked, suggesting that Congress leaders reflect on their role in the controversy.
